The buy in is way too expensive. If it was $5 I would play every single time there was a tournament and I think more of the general public would play. But as it is at $15, the only people that go to the tournament are people who are extremely good at the game which sort of makes it not fun for anyone who just wanted to come and play some smash bros with some friends.
It was both a good way to get some exercise and a lot of fun.
Tech Bingo was a disgrace this year as only about 150 kids if that got in, they should have chosen a bigger venue or even just chose to have it in the gym there instead of where they did have it. We waited in line and then got told sorry we can't take anymore people. We were also told "blame the people that wanted the new union" When really it was poor planning on there part as they should have expected that a lot of students would be attending this activity. I would have thought they would have used data from previous years to help determine how big of a space to get but obviously that didn't happen. There was a large amount of students that were upset and the situation was cause by the planning on there end. If they knew not all kids who were in line weren't going to get in maybe they should have done two rounds. Then for them to tell us "we will be doing it again in the spring, be earlier then" That was just rude. I was very unsatisfied on how the whole situation was handled.
Loved the class! Wish there was more fun things like this more often for the students!
