Zine Workshop

Thursday, January 30, 2025 12 pm to 4 pm

Join the Pride Center in documenting you personal experiences at UND and within Grand Forks through the art of zine-making. A zine is a small, self-published indvidual and group work that uses original artwork or other peices of texts and images. Zines gained popularity in the 1960's as informal, underground publications that focused on social and poltical activism. By the 1970s zines were popular in the punk rock circuit and in the '90s the feminist punk scene expanded the work in feminist artist communnities.

There are many types of zines from photography, literary, social and political, music, travel, health, food, and more. Whether you are an experienced creator or new to zines, this workshop is for you!
