About this Event
Be part of a community of women committed to making a difference. The Women for Philanthropy Luncheon presented by SEI brings together leaders and changemakers for an afternoon of meaningful conversation, new perspectives, and shared purpose.
This year's featured speaker is Dr. Mohiba Tareen. Dr. Tareen is a physician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose career reflects a deep commitment to excellence, service, and creating opportunities for others. A board-certified dermatologist and Mohs skin cancer surgeon, she is the founder and Medical Director of Tareen Dermatology.
Giving back has been a constant throughout Dr. Tareen’s life and career. In 2026, she and her husband, Dr. Basir Tareen, made a transformational $5 million commitment to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences to establish UND’s Department of Dermatology and endow the Tareen Family Chair of Dermatology.
Her philanthropic interests are especially focused on creating opportunities for children and families, with particular emphasis on education, housing, and food insecurity. Dr. Tareen brings a powerful perspective on leadership, generosity, and the lasting impact individuals can make when they invest in people and the communities around them.
