Virtual Speaker Series in Writing, Editing, and Publishing: Kristine Langley Mahler, Split/Lip Press

Thursday, October 7, 2021 7:00pm to 8:00pm

The Department of English is excited to invite you to the first talk in this fall’s Virtual Speaker Series in Writing, Editing, and Publishing: “From the Submission Queue to Publication Day (and Beyond): Inside Split/Lip Press,” by Kristine Langley Mahler.

All events in our virtual speaker series are free and open to the public.

Kristine Langley Mahler is a memoirist experimenting with the truth on the suburban prairie outside Omaha, Nebraska, a city ridging the backbone of the West and the Midwest. Her debut essay collection, Curing Season, is forthcoming with WVU Press in October 2022. She is the director and publisher of Split/Lip Press. Read more about her here.

The Department of English and the Certificate Programs in Creative Writing and Editing and Publishing are excited to sponsor the Virtual Speaker Series in Writing, Editing, and Publishing. We would like to thank the College of Arts & Sciences and the College Advisory Board for supporting this year’s Virtual Speaker Series in Writing, Editing, and Publishing.
