Hosted by the College of Engineering & Mines, the VEX Robotics North Dakota Signature is a VEX V5 Robotics Competition, which engages high school students in a metal-based robotics system. This January 2026 event will be the second time UND has hosted a tournament at the Alerus Center. Students from around the region will compete for two qualifying awards (Excellence Award and Tournament Champion), which make them eligible to compete at the World Tournament. The 2026 Worlds will be held April 21-24 in St. Louis, MO.
