The Social Work Month Learning series is a collaborative endeavor led by the Social Work programs at the University of North Dakota and Bemidji State University to commemorate Social Work Month 2026, which has the theme – Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform. 

Each session is approved for 1.5 CEUs by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners.  Please confirm with your state licensure board acceptance of NDBSWE-approved CEUs.  CEU Certificates or Certificates of Attendance will be sent out after the sessions. 

March 16, 2026 - Navigating Eco-Social Work: Toward Personal and Planetary Healing, with Dr. Leah Prussia, DSW, LICSW, SEP, Associate Professor, College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN 

More on this Session: Eco-social work is an evolving paradigm and practice within the profession that honors the interconnection of people and the planet. Eco-social work is a way of engaging, assessing, and intervening that centers the interdependence of all of life. This session will explore eco-social work tenets and review ways to incorporate the approach into micro, mezzo, and macro-level practices that foster collective healing.

Anyone can attend! All presentations are from 11:30 am-1:00 p.m., are free, and online via Zoom.
