Thursday, February 28, 2019 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Course content related to diversity and inclusion can be challenging for students and faculty alike. This panel discussion features campus experts who have research interests in pedagogical experience delving deep into complex issues with students. Clustered around the Essential Studies learning outcomes of Intercultural Knowledge & Skills, this session will focus on courses that fulfill the Diversity of Human Experience special emphasis area in the ES 2020 revisions. The following faculty: Justin Berg (Sociology), Michelle Sauer (English), and Hamzat Koriko (Academic Affairs) will address how they help students better understand the multiplicity of differing worldviews and their constructions, as well as how they design productive opportunities for student reflection on identity and worldview.
