We will discuss with Katy Cavanaugh, Horticulturist for the City of Grand Forks, about how to prepare your garden beds for winter. Her talk will cover perennial bed maintenance—including pruning, the question of “to clear or not to clear,” and how to overwinter non-hardy plants—as well as how to shut down vegetable gardens, with tips on mulching, cutting back, and plant removal.
