The School of Graduate Studies, in partnership with the Chester Fritz Library, will sponsor a research workshop for both new and current graduate students.

How do you currently organize and manage your research? Do you have PDF downloads of articles you are planning to read? Or printouts with notes for points you want to include in your paper? What about your research data? This workshop can help you become a more efficient researcher by equipping you with strategies to organize and manage your research. The workshop will cover different types of research and methods for organizing the information you collect as part of your research. It will also cover tools such as literature search organizing templates, citation management programs, and data management plans.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:

  • Recognize different types of research
  • Identify helpful resources to organize and manage your research
  • Apply techniques to organize and manage research depending on the tool used
  • Know how to contact your subject librarian
