National Scholarships: A Student Panel

Wednesday, February 21, 2024 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Learn about national/international scholarship opportunities and application strategies on 2.21.24 from 5:30-6:30PM in the Honors Lounge-Columbia Hall Basement. Panelists will provide general ADVICE on preparing for these opportunities and specific TIPS that target the ones they sought.

Panelists include:

  • PhD student Richard Hoberg, EFR, who applied for the Fulbright US Student Research Grant.  Students interested in research and international travel will find his suggestions helpful.
  • Senior student Parker Johnson, physics, who applied for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and Dept. of Energy Computational Fellowship.  STEM students interested in a research career will find his suggestions helpful.
  • Sophomore student Elisabeth Starosta, biochemistry and molecular & integrative biology, who applied for the Critical Language Scholarships-SPARK and Goldwater.  STEM students and Language students will find her suggestions helpful.   

Fulbright, Critical Language Scholarships-Spark, NSF-GRFP are open to graduate students, too.  Students can also access the panel by zoom.  Contact yee.chu@und.edu.
