My Journey to Justice for All
Presented by C. Ken Williams, M.S., J.D.
Immediate Past President, American Academy of Forensic Sciences
Assistant Chief Forensic Scientist, New Jersey State Police Office of Forensic Sciences
Justice is a fundamental idea in the United States. In 1787, the framers of the U.S. Constitution set forth in the preamble the goal to establish Justice. C. Ken Williams will discuss his take on “justice for all” and how practitioners throughout the forensic community serve that goal through
forensic science.
Learn how justice must transcend individual characteristics of race, gender, age, religion, disability, socio-economic status or any other factor that leads to bias or discrimination. Explore a holistic view that goes beyond the alleged victim and defendant to encompass families, communities, and society at large.
Presentation made possible by the College of Arts & Sciences Hoekstra Leadership Award.
