Merrifield Open House: Celebrating the First 93 Years. Join us as we celebrate the rich history of Merrifield Hall and look to the exciting future renovation plans. 

For nearly a century, Merrifield Hall has anchored the quad at UND. One of the most iconic campus structures, its hallmark stairwells, benches, windows, and gargoyles have welcomed generations of UND students. Renovation is scheduled to begin in 2023 and will modernize the treasured hall while honoring the historical aspects of the architecture. Project Information.

The Open House will include refreshments and activities on all floors, hosted by the College of Arts & Sciences, and the departments of English, Philosophy & Religious Studies and Modern & Classical Languages & Literatures.
