Men on Boats is the comic retelling of the 1869 expedition down the Colorado River. Major John Wesley Powell, the one-armed leader, took a crew of nine on an adventure that included wrecked boats, depleted food supplies, and "men" overboard. The playwright requires, however, that the play be performed entirely by women. The production at the Empire Arts Center in Studio E is a hilarious retelling of this historic journey.
