Clinical trial data – finding clinical trial data beyond journal articles
Clinical trial protocols and selected results are typically presented in peer-reviewed journal articles. However, many trial data are never published in journal articles, but can be found using other methods and sources. Additional trial data may comprise individual patient data, full results or different cuts of the data that have been published in journal articles.
Within the context of “Whose data?”, we shall outline the main sources of additional trial data including trial registers, health technology assessments and data registries that need to be searched for the more comprehensive searches required for systematic reviews and other evidence syntheses.
The presenters will be Julie Glanville and Carol Lefebvre. They are independent information consultants who have been providing training in identifying clinical trial evidence for thirty years.
The session will comprise a 30-minute presentation followed by 10-15 minutes of Q and A.
This meeting will be recorded.
