Literature Review Research & Writing Strategies

Monday, October 3, 2022 2 pm to 3 pm

Virtual Event

Brought to you in partnership between the Chester Fritz Library, UND Writing Center, and the School of Graduate Studies, this graduate workshop will help you become a more effective discoverer and communicator of research, no matter what your area, by equipping you with strategies to find and use the intellectual work of others. Investing time with the Library and Writing Center at the outset of your program can pay off, as you learn techniques and explore resources that save effort and energy throughout your research and writing career.

Note: the Chester Fritz Library will offer several how to, hands-on sessions specific to database searching in the weeks immediately following this workshop. By the end of this session, you will be able to: 1) Identify relevant resources for efficient searching; 2) Formulate a strategy for using existing Literature Reviews to further your research and writing; 3) Know how to contact your subject librarian and writing center consultants.

Led by:

  • Danielle Masursky, Education and Human Development Librarian
  • Anna Marie Kinney, Coordinator of U Writing Program

NOTE: Participants will be invited to keep their cameras on and actively engage with presenters and other attendees during this workshop. Breakout rooms may be used to facilitate learning.

Registration is required to attend. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. This workshop is open to currently enrolled UND graduate students.
