The Fransen Department of Real Estate, Economics & Finance is pleased to announce that our Korus Seminar Series will take place on Friday, May 1, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Room 334. The title of the paper that will be presented is “Fertility Stopping and the Identification of Sibling Effects”.
Our speaker will be Dr. Wei Yang, Associate Professor of Finance at UND.
Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. in Economics from McMaster University. His research focuses on family economics, demographic behavior, and the role of social and cultural factors—such as son preference and kinship structures—in shaping fertility, gender outcomes, and intra-household decision-making. He has published in journals including Journal of Population Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and Applied Economics.
