The Department of Art and Design is pleased to present a lecture on the exhibition Guerrilla Girls: The Art of Behaving Badly, on view at the Memorial Union Gallery. The lecture, presented by Nicole Derenne, Teaching Assistant Professor, will include an introduction to the Guerrilla Girls, a brief discussion of what was happening in the 1980's art scene that spurred the Guerrilla Girls to form, and the Guerrilla Girls' impact today. Derenne and students in her advanced art history class on feminist art curated the Guerrilla Girls exhibition. The lecture will be held in room 214B; the event is free and open to the public.
