About this Event
Join UND's student-run literary magazine, Floodwall, as we launch our newest issue! Each issue of Floodwall features fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, photography, and visual art by current UND students. Join us in the Chester Fritz Library, Room 225 (large reading room/fishbowl), on Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 PM for this spring's event!
This spring's publication event will open with a reception and mingling from 6:30–7:00, to celebrate our newest contributors and the volunteers who made this issue possible. Refreshments will be provided.
Starting at 7:00, we'll kick off the ceremony and launch event portion of the evening! The evening's ceremony will open with an acknowledgment of the English Department's student scholarship recipients, before turning over to a Floodwall reading. We'll reveal the cover of the latest entry of Floodwall, and contributors to the newest issue will give short readings and performances of their published work. We'll also applaud the hard work of our student-editors, designers, and volunteers!
If you can't join us in-person, the ceremony and reading portion of the evening will be livestreamed via Zoom webinar starting at 7:00 PM CT. Register to attend the livestream via this link.
Floodwall is sponsored by the UND English Department and the certificate programs in Creative Writing and Writing, Editing, and Publishing.
