Canceled: Epigenetics & Epigenomics Symposium

The 6th Annual Epigenetics & Epigenomics Symposium will be held at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences on the campus of the University of North Dakota on May 11 and 12, 2020. We are expecting participants from around the region, including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, and Manitoba, who will share their research on epigenetic mechanisms in health and disease.

The symposium is sponsored by the Epigenomics Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE). The CoBRE program was established by the National Institutes of Health to promote collaboration among researchers and strengthen research infrastructure at biomedical research institutions. The purpose of the symposium is to bring nationally recognized experts in biomedical sciences to share their work, to provide networking opportunities to faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students, and to highlight the research being accomplished at the University of North Dakota.

Speakers at the event include:

  • UND Presidential Keynote Speaker - Robb Krumlauf Ph.D., Investigator, Scientific Director Emeritus, Stowers Institute for Medical Research
  • Elizabeth Duncan, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Biology, College of Arts & Sciences, University of Kentucky
  • Anthony Imbalzano, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, University of Massachusetts Medical School
  • Andre van Wijnen , Ph.D., Professor of Orthopedics and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN

The event is free, but all participants are required to register for the meeting. The registration deadline is April 27, 2020. Registration Link: UND Epigenetics Symposium 2020 Registration

If you would like to present a poster at the event, an abstract must be submitted by April 6, 2020 (midnight).  Information regarding poster requirements will be emailed to those who answer yes to the poster session on the registration link.
