The University Writing Program and School of Graduate Studies will be hosting a dissertation writing retreat on Friday, October 18 from 1:00-4:30 p.m. for up to 36 dissertation writers at the Gershman Graduate Center. This program is by application only, and potential participants must apply to be considered. Download a PDF overview of the program, and the PDF application form here. This will be an in-person event held at the Gershman Graduate Center.

For online/distance graduate students, or those unable to attend in-person, UND has an institutional membership to National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity, which is hosting a virtual 14-day writing challenge from October 7-20, 2024. Registration for this virtual program is due September 27, 2024 and is free through their site (instructions for accessing the NCFDD can be found here). The NCFDD also has a 12-week dissertation success program and resources on other writing topics, so it is an excellent tool for all graduate students.
