Día De Los Muertos

This event is part of the First 83 Days celebration for November 1, 2021.

Día De Los Muertos is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and by people of Mexican ancestry living across the world. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to remember those who have passed and to help support their spiritual journey. 

Come to the Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion and add to our Altar to honor those that have passed in our lives. Bring any of the following items to put on the ofrenda (altar):

natural or paper flowers (marigolds), a photo of your family member or friend, a loaf of bread, favorite candies of the deceased, sugar skulls, etc. 

Join us in celebration with for a series of activities throughout the day on Monday, November 1st!

11am - 3pm, Calavera (sugar skull) painting, making paper marigolds, and more! 

5pm -7pm,  Gather for dinner! We will be having tostadas!
