Developing Effective Assignments

Wednesday, September 9, 2020 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Virtual Event

What makes one assignment more effective than another? How do we design assignments that allow students to demonstrate their best work and allow us to understand their learning? In this session, we will cover the basic principles of assignment design and share best practices for creating assignments that students embrace and we don't mind grading.

The School of Graduate Studies will sponsor a teaching workshop for both new and current graduate students along with new UND Faculty and Instructors. This workshop is brought to you in partnership with the Teaching Transformation and Development Academy as part of the School of Graduate Studies teaching workshop series.

Led by: Anne Kelsch, PhD, Director of Faculty & Staff Development, TTaDA

Leaders: Jenny Reichart, Faculty Development Specialist and Academic Coach, TTaDA
Anna Kinney, Coordinator of the University Writing Program, TTaDA.

Registration for this session is required. The link to participate in the session virtually will be sent to you in a confirmation email immediately upon registration.
