Creating and Grading Assignments in Blackboard

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Cost: Free Event

Use Blackboard to collect student assignments. Blackboard adds a date- and time-stamp and allows you to grade online by marking up the electronic file. The assignments feature is especially effective for group assignments, as one file is uploaded, and your comments and grade are viewed by everyone in the group. SafeAssign is integrated with Blackboard and addresses plagiarism by detecting unoriginal content in student papers. Use SafeAssign’s automatically generated reports to promote appropriate citation practices and original work in your class.  Additionally, learn how to provide feedback to student work using Blackboard’s Inline Grading feature, which eliminates downloading and saving student work on your computer. You can type, highlight, and scribble (write) on their document as it displays on your screen. The session will also cover creating rubrics in Blackboard and linking them to assignments and other graded items.

Zoom links will be sent out to participants automatically upon registration completion.
