A welcoming campus climate is important for student success. This research study investigated how perceived campus climate at Tribal College and Universities (TCUs) is relative to LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. In an online survey of administrators, faculty, staff, and students, results showed that there was indeed a population of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. Participants’ responses to the survey regarding Campus Support, Policy Inclusion, Academic Life, Student Life, and Campus Safety were mixed, with results demonstrating both areas of strength and potential improvement. This research should help improve the educational successes at TCUs and thus help TCUs meet the goals of improving educational outcomes for American Indians.
