Adobe Photoshop: Introduction

Thursday, August 19, 2021 1 pm to 2 pm

Virtual Event

During this Adobe Photoshop workshop, you will learn the basic tools and concepts of the software. Photoshop is an image manipulating software you can use for almost any type of image editing, from touching up photos to creating high-quality graphics. This training is very basic and introduces you to the Photoshop work area, and how to open, save and export your images. Because Photoshop is an intricate program designed primarily for professional use, the interface may feel a bit complex and intimidating to inexperienced users. Even if you have experience with other image editing software, it's a good idea to become familiar with the main elements of Photoshop. It is most useful to have access to this software (it can be purchased through UIT).

In this training, we will be using an example of how to resize an image to fit the specifications of an OmniUpdate Featured Content (feature snippet) image within the UND webpage management tool (OmniUpdate). If you do not have experience with OmniUpdate, don’t worry! We only use this example to demonstrate how to size your image, and what to name your image when you export it.
