The Hughes Fine Art Center Gallery is hosting a beautiful show February 5-29. Come in to view the amazing pieces by this talented artist!

50 Bowls, 50 States, 50 Wood Kilns is artist Elaine Olafson Henry’s investigation into the influences of woodfire. The exhibition presents 50 thrown porcelain bowls, each created by the artist using the same clay block, the same building and shaping process, and the same glaze coat. In order to explore how firing circumstances would inevitably influence the finished pieces, Henry then shipped each bowl to a different wood firing ceramist in each state.

The artist, Elaine Olafson Henry, will attend the closing reception on February 29 at 4:30 pm.
