This week’s speaker will be Dr. Bob Boyd, former Vice President for Student and Outreach Services at UND!

Dr. Robert ( Bob) Boyd is currently Vice President Emeritus for Student and Outreach Services.  He retired from the University of North Dakota in 2011 after 33 years of service to UND. 

During his tenure as Dean and Vice President, he was known as “Mr. UND” because of his extraordinary service to his university.  He was considered the  “go-to” leader for four UND Presidents because of his leadership abilities and his reputation with the university, the community, and the state.  Because of his passion for all things UND and students, he was the recipient of UND’s Association and Foundation’s prestigious Sioux Award for Distinguished Leadership and Achievement in 2023.

Among his achievements as Vice President, he is proud of the establishment of a wellness initiative at UND and the subsequent building of the current wellness center on campus.

 Dr. Boyd has two degrees from UND, and his wife and their two daughters are also graduates.
